Zakir Khan is the master of storytelling. His shows will not only make you laugh but will make you experience all sorts of emotions, the way crafts his stories, and the correct usage of words in the most appropriate place sets this guy apart from everyone. Zakir Khan is a small towner from Indore later he moved to Delhi where he started working as a writer, a few years were difficult for him financially but then he found his unknown passion for Stand-Up comedy in Delhi and started hitting open mics. He became a known face in India’s stand-up comedy circuit in 2012 when he won the title of ‘India’s Best Stand Up’, a comedy competition organized by Comedy Central.Besides performing at many stand-up comedy shows, he has also ghostwritten and produced radio shows. His comedy style was applauded in NDTV Prime’s The Rising Stars of Comedy television show. He is known for his punchline “Sakht Launda”, which refers to a guy with immense self-control who doesn’t easily fall for girls. He also worked as a writer for the comedy collective called AIB (All India Bakchod), he also wrote and co-hosted ‘On Air with AIB’. He released his first Youtube video in 2015 titled ‘Its Tough To Be A Man In India’ which didn’t work out well still having around 900K views. Zakir Khan got to the level where he is now by his 16th video titled ‘When I met a Delhi Girl’ in which he talks about his misadventures with various women around Delhi, this video is the most-watched stand-up in the world has around 60 million views on it established him as the most popular comedian of this country. Since then Zakir has also released two Amazon Prime Specials called ‘Haq Se Single’ and ‘Kaksha Gyarvi’. He has released two seasons of web series which he self wrote and acted in titled ‘Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare’. He has also featured in one episode of Amazon Prime’s One Mic Stand alongside Sapan Verma and Bhuvan Bam. Zakir also was the judge of two reality shows ‘Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ and ‘Comicstaan season 2’. Except for comedy Zakir Khan is also famous for his poetry, he has presented his poetry in events like Rekhta and also has his own podcast on Gaana.com called ‘Umeed’ in which he shares his stories and stories of some of his fellow comedians and writers that may inspire people. Zakir is currently touring with three specials called ‘Tathastu’, ‘Survival Instinct’, and ‘Handle with Care’.
